Theory

The music theory course is fundamental to the understanding of music and to the student’s development in the individual lesson of the instrument or voice. Through theory lessons and solfège, the student reads notes in the keys of F and G, recognizes and executes rhythms, recognizes intervals, scales, chords and timbres; all essential tools for understanding music and performing it on instrument or voice.

In particular, the online teaching of music theory in the “Philippos Nakas – Learn Music Online” Program offers much easier access to a multitude of sources, with musical examples from streaming platforms, as well as scores in pdf, gathered and organized by topic.

The student learns to write the exercises and musical examples in musical notation software and becomes familiar with skills necessary in the music industry.

There is possibility of screen recording of the course, so that the student has access to the course even after it is over. This provides flexibility and enables the student to retake the lesson, better embedding it.

The theory course is a prerequisite for the harmony course and the “Philippos Nakas – Learn Music Online” Program provides credits to students for its successful completion.
