Double Bass

Develop your skills as a bass player in whatever style of music you play. Improve your sound and rhythm and learn accompaniment and improvisation!

Overview

The bass lesson focuses on learning the instrument according to the needs and abilities of the student. Part of the course is learning basic technique (scales, arpeggios), reading sheet music and studying repertoire from recordings and from sheet music.

During the program, the student comes into contact with different styles of music and playing, among others, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Latin, Classical and others, learning to accompany and improvise with the aesthetics of each style.

Through the distance courses, the student who chooses the classical direction is given the opportunity to prepare for qualifying exams in the Department of Classical Music of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.

The student who chooses the modern direction is also given the possibility of joining the instrument levels of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory with the aim of obtaining the degree in modern music.

Prerequisite for the online course is the use of the hardware (computer, sound card, notation software, DAW).

Concurrent study of music theory is recommended.
